It was a wonderful evening of prayer, visiting and gracious comment. What a great feeling it was to be present to show our appreciation to these individuals that serve us through Christ everyday of their lives.

Deputy Grand Knight Curt and Maria Zurliene. Curt did an excellent job with the Golf Tournament and has planned a fun filled Family Picnic for September 11. Curt is always available to help the council in anyway he can, and has really taken the office of Deputy Grand Knight seriously. Curt is employed at FCB Bank in Albers. Maria teaches and moderates many activities at Mater Dei High School. She is highly respected by her students and fellow teachers. Thanks to Curt and Maria for making a positive impact on so many people.

Our Friday Night Lunch Chairman, Ralph Maue. Ralph puts in countless hours in planning and working this weekly program. Many times Ralph will be working early Fridays with cleaning chicken and checking the deliveries for the day. In the afternoon and evening, he will be on hand to assist any crews who might be short handed. Most often he is available to reconcile the cash drawer at the end of the night. Recently, Ralph took another role as "The Grand Knight's body guard". I know I feel safer now!
